POWER GRADE: Grades are averaged with a different weighting
system for each subject area.
In science, classwork is 15%, homework is 15%, labs and projects are
35%, and tests and quizzes are 35%.
AB recorded as a score means the
student was absent at the time the assignment was given and/or checked in;
this is averaged over.
However, NHI means the child was
present at the time the assignment was given and for whatever reason the
assignment was not completed and turned in at the time it was due; this
averages as a zero. NA means the grade hasn’t been entered and is
averaged over.
