Auburn Village School

Library Media Center

Welcome to the

Library Media Center

The AVS Library Media Center has made strides in recent years with the addition of 22 computer stations featuring subscription databases and an electronic card catalog.  In addition to 23 scheduled classes per week (K-5), the library media center also welcomes flexible scheduling thereby hosting as many as 20 or more additional classes weekly.  Small groups are continually in attendance, and library circulation, aside from scheduled classes, is on a “walk-in” basis.  As a result, our circulation statistics are high.  A recent concentration on middle school fiction has been a great success.  In all, the library media center has been a busy place!

Question of the Day for November

had 112 participants.

Colin Leighton of Mrs. Doar’s class came in

First Place and won a reading lamp,  Second place was shared by Lukas Dobe of Mrs. O’Rourkes’s class and Amber Ginnetty of Mrs. Doar’s Room.  Third Place had a three-way tie:  Marryn Dennis, Maison D’Amelio and Maggie Vaillancourt, all from Mrs. Doar’s class.

Redesign a book cover!

Use your imagination to redesign any one of the book covers on display in the library window.

The best designs will be laminated and used as the cover of the book for a month!

Make it colorful and have fun!
